Investments by sovereign wealth funds are to come under closer scrutiny after US lawmakers yesterday announced the creation of a bipartisan taskforce to study their effect on the US economy and national security.
The announcement came as the European Commission put forward its own proposals for greater transparency among state-owned funds.
