Reuters has unveiled a shake-up of its editorial operations, including the forced relocation of more jobs to south-east Asia in a move expected to result in further redundancies at the news and information group.
The relocations form part of Reuters' efforts to increase efficiencies, cut costs and concentrate its global operations around a smaller number of hubs. They also signal that the editorial department is not immune to the group's mammoth restructuring efforts and ?440m ($811m) cost-cutting programme.
