Industry chiefs upbeat on company growth

About half of the top executives of US small and medium-sized manufacturers are optimistic about their companies’ growth prospects for the rest of this year, according to a survey to be published on Monday.

The report by RSM McGladrey, the consultancy, lends further weight to the view that the manufacturing sector, which has been hard hit by the global downturn, may be on the verge of a recovery.
