Imagine fresh Indian mangoes and okra selling not just in the street markets of the subcontinent but in supermarkets around the world.

To many it is a pipe dream. One person who believes that India’s farmers can become globally competitive is Sunil Bharti Mittal, who has made himself the third richest person in the country by operating nearly one in three Indian mobile phones. With the right infrastructural reforms, he says, a second green revolution could be in sight.
