Bumper sales of its auto-immune drug Deltacortril have led to a near-trebling in profits at Alliance Pharma, the speciality drug company, prompting the group to announce a maiden dividend.

Deltacortril, which Alliance acquired from Pfizer in 2006, was the main driver of the sales growth.
