New business aids revenue at Bunzl

Companies’ cost-cutting in the face of the recession is reaching as far as their choices of packaging and throwaway materials, according to Bunzl.

First-half sales at the spoons-to-syringes disposable products distribution group rose from £1.96bn ($3.22bn) last year to £2.29bn this time, but fell 1 per cent after stripping out the beneficial impact of currency movements.
