Unitymedia prepares for float

Germany’s second-largest cable television company is poised for a partial flotation early next year, bankers have said.

Unitymedia “would be ready to go in a few weeks” once its private equity owners, BC Partners and Apollo, judged the time right, a media banker said. It would be the first big initial public offering in the European media sector since the credit crisis.
