Two more high-level staff leave Tribune

Sam Zell’s tumultuous renovation of the Tribune Company claimed two more casualties on Monday with the departure of Los Angeles Times’ publisher David Hiller and Chicago Tribune editor Ann Marie Lipinski.

Both resigned just weeks after Tribune outlined plans for big cuts at their respective papers – including the loss of 150 editorial staffers at the Times and 80 at Tribune – as well as a reduction in news pages.
