For nearly two decades, John Malone, chairman of Liberty Media, and Barry Diller, chief executive of IAC/Interactive, have been joined in a corporate marriage, and a fairly profitable one.

But, like so many other unions, it has frayed over time, and now they are going to court to seek a divorce. The venue is the Delaware chancery court where, barring a last-minute settlement, a judge will hear testimony today in a trial that could determine the terms of their break-up.
