Republicans face growing evidence that their troubles in Washington may cost them seats in next year’s mid-term elections, giving new urgency to their push to move past current scandals and focus on their agenda.

“The Republican majority is in jeopardy,” said Frank Luntz, a pollster and strategist for the party.
