US presidential field narrows after Florida

After months of volatility and confusion, the Republican party finally has an orderly, two-way contest for its presidential nomination.

John McCain’s victory in the Florida primary on Tuesday has solidified his status as frontrunner and left Mitt Romney as his only serious challenger.
