London claims progress in bomb probe

Charles Clarke, Britain’s home secretary, told reporters on Thursday said that progress was being made in the investigations into July’s bombing incidents on the London transport system.

He declined to go into detail, leaving most Britons to take his statement on trust – because, just over two months after the bombs of July 7, disclosures about the two parallel investigations have almost dried up.
