PCCW chairman may take company private

PCCW, Hong Kong’s largest telecoms firm, has confirmed that its chairman may make an offer to take the company private.

In a statement, PCCW said that vehicles controlled by Richard Li and China Unicom, the state-owned telecoms giant, are “considering the feasibility of a proposal for the company”.
