Media groups expected to miss out on small company spend

Small US companies are planning to maintain spending on advertising and marketing to other businesses, according to a new study warning that media owners are missing out on this rare pocket of stability by catering only to larger clients.

Spending on business to business media by companies employing more than 1,000 people will fall in total by 9.7 per cent this year, according to Outsell, the information industry research firm.
