Moody’s downgrades S Korean banks

Moody’s Investors Service on Wednesday lowered its ratings for four South Korean lenders, including Kookmin Bank, based on their financial strengths.

The ratings agency cited rising bad loans and weak financial positions for the downgrade, part of its wider reassessment of the financial status of banks globally. So far, most Asian lenders have only been put on review by Moody’s for possible downgrades.
