Honda’s drive for glory a cost too far

Owning a £50,000 supercar is a dream for many, but for Formula 1 teams that is merely the cost of a steering wheel.

The sport has long marketed itself on its associations with wealth and glamour but the cost of competing has escalated dramatically in recent years. In the current economic climate it should come as no surprise that one of the teams has decided to withdraw for financial reasons.
