To become an entrepreneur, the standard procedure is to start with an idea and then try to build
a viable business model around it.

Approaching the process the other way around, however, can be just as effective. For example, the way to turn a good restaurant or local service into a nationwide business is to build a franchise, putting rigorous systems in place to scale the business.
