Conran criticises ‘Heathrow hassle’

BAA’s “commercial passion for profit” has wrought “chaos and confusion” at Heathrow airport, according to the celebrated designer who created the interiors of the original Terminal 1 building.

Sir Terence Conran, the restaurateur, designer and businessman, believes the airport operator has destroyed his vision of a calm, welcoming environment, turning Heathrow into “a really horrible place”.
