Pure Wafer lost more than four-fifths of its value on Tuesday after the silicon wafer reclamation specialist warned a market downturn will see it break its debt convenants and miss earnings estimates.

The company blamed a downturn in volumes, particularly at its Swansea plant, in the past quarter and increased competition pushing down prices.
