Berkeley sees house prices stabilising

Falling house prices and the difficulty in raising mortgage finance has hit profits at Berkeley Group, although the housebuilder said that prices had stabilised in the last three months, as it announced a shake-up in senior management.

Shares in Berkeley rose 3.7 per cent or 29½p in early trading on Friday.
