Tesco will next week emphasise the strength of its international business when it announces its annual results after enduring one of the toughest years in a decade in its home market.
With underlying sales in the UK expected to be up 3.4 per cent this year – rival grocer Wm Morrison achieved an uplift of 7.9 per cent over a similar period – Tesco will be highlighting its progress abroad at Tuesday’s results presentation.
