Paulson takes new job

Hank Paulson has accepted a position at Johns Hopkins University as his first job since stepping down as Treasury secretary.

Condoleezza Rice, former secretary of state, has also moved swiftly to capitalise on her White House experiences. She has signed a deal with the William Morris Agency, the Hollywood talent agency best known for representing actors but which also works with political figures, having arranged a book deal for Nancy Pelosi, House speaker.
