Mondi, the paper company that this week spun off from mining company Anglo American to list in London and Johannesburg, on Friday said it had made two acquisitions in the packaging sector for a total of $206.4m.

Mondi is buying 53.56 per cent of Tire Kutsan, a Turkish packaging company. It is also buying all of Unterland Flexible Packaging, an Austrian company.
