Microsoft searches for reply to Google

Chris Dobson does not carry a sling, but is otherwise set to play one of the more unusual executive roles at Microsoft: David to someone else’s Goliath.

As Microsoft’s lead global advertising sales executive, Mr Dobson has taken on a huge challenge: clawing back ground lost to Google, the internet search group that has been the main beneficiary of the rapid global rise in web advertising.
