Thames Water to set bills based on bedrooms

Thames Water has announced plans to base some of its bills on the number of bedrooms in a property, a change that the company said would lead to lower bills for about 24,000 customers.

The company, now owned by Macquarie Bank of Australia, said that it had reviewed arrangements for its 38,000 customers who paid water bills based on the average metered water bill, or “average household charge”.
