Obama urged to fulfil security pledges

When Barack Obama takes up the presidency in January, he will have to decide how to handle a raft of controversial secret orders that President George W. Bush issued to prosecute the “war on terror”.

Since the September 11 2001 attacks, Mr Bush has issued “executive orders” to expand CIA powers to capture, detain, interrogate and kill terrorist suspects.
