I celebrated the end of my first MBA term with my colleagues with a visit to the Staatsoper, the most well known of Berlin’s three opera houses. As the first act of Rossini’s the Barber of Seville began, twenty-six exhausted students from the European School of Management and Technology stared at the stage.
We were all a little numb, as the past period had been an intense introduction to MBA education. I have found the workload overwhelming, spending at least 12 hours per day at school, - not including the preparations for the next day’s classes which I then had to do at home, either late at night or early in the morning. I did not see much of my family and outside events passed me by.
