November new cars in UK decline 37%

New car registrations fell 37 per cent in the UK last month compared with November 2007, in spite of steep industry discounts and lower lending rates.

Registrations of new cars in the year to date are down 10.7 per cent to 2,023,104 units, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders reported on Thursday. They totalled 100,333 last month.
