Weak dollar boosts US exports

The weak dollar helped lift US exports to a fresh record and reduce America’s trade deficit with the rest of the world to a 28-month low.

The trade gap narrowed in September by 0.6 per cent to $56.5bn as exports rose more quickly than imports, the Commerce Department said on Friday,
