John Manley: Breadth of experience that few Canadians can match

Basking in a spectacular view of Lake Ontario from his 52nd floor office at a Toronto law firm, John Manley jokingly wonders why he has chosen to take a new job from next January as president of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives.

His 10th floor office in Ottawa will also have a fine vista, of Parliament Hill and the picturesque Gatineau Hills beyond. But the real reason for the move, Mr Manley says, is that: “I really enjoy getting my teeth into issues of public policy.”
