Banks' refusal to provide guarantees of companies' facilities might not cast doubt on whether the company is a going concern, the corporate reporting watchdog has said.

The Financial Reporting Council yesterday issued guides covering issues that directors and audit committees should consider as many approach year ends and are preparing annual reports.
