Problems might force Orange to delay 3G launch

Orange, France Telecom's mobile arm, has admitted it might not launch commercial third-generation services this side of Christmas if glitches with the technology remain unresolved.

Speaking at the Etre telecommunications conference in Cannes, Sanjiv Ahuja, chief executive, said: "If the overall experience is not right, I would feel comfortable pushing the 3G launch to next year."
