ITV investors seek board counterweight

Leading institutional shareholders in ITV are calling for a strong counterweight on the commercial broadcaster’s board in the wake of the appointment of Michael Grade as executive chairman.

While large investors have broadly welcomed Mr Grade’s appointment, four of ITV’s top 20 institutional investors told the FT that they would be looking for a strong non-executive director to represent shareholders.
