BlackRock among first funds to sign up to voluntary code

The first hedge funds to sign up to the industry's voluntary code of conduct since it was finalised in January were named yesterday, and include the UK arm of BlackRock, one of the world's biggest fund managers.

The 10 funds join the 14 founders of the Hedge Fund Standards Board, set up by Europe's biggest managers to improve standards and avoid compulsory regulation of the industry.
