Deutsche Telekom has held exploratory takeover talks with Electronic Data Systems, the US-based IT service provider, in a drastic change of strategy over the future of its struggling business customer division, T-Systems.

The talks are to explore a potential takeover of EDS by T-Systems, people close to the situation told FT Deutschland, the Financial Times' sister paper.
