Lee Kun-hee, Samsung Group’s chairman, will be questioned by South Korean prosecutors on Friday over allegations that the country’s biggest conglomerate managed slush funds and ran a bribery network.

The independent counsel’s summons to Mr Lee is significant as it is the first time that the head of South Korea’s largest conglomerate has been questioned over any legal case, although he has been embroiled in various court cases.
