Fears over capital position hit L&G shares

Shares in Legal & General fell 11 per cent Monday on continuing concerns about its capital position.

The shares fell 5.2p to a low of 44.3p on fears that putting more money aside to meet potential defaults in its bond portfolio could force it to cut its dividend, or raise capital.
