UK manufacturing hits two-year high

British manufacturing activity rebounded in October to its highest level in two years, according to a survey, which showed the monthly level rising at a near-record rate.

The CIPS/Markit UK manufacturing survey of purchasing managers rose to 53.7, back above the 50 no-change mark. A 3.8 percentage point gain on September’s output was the survey’s third-highest one-month rise.
