Supporters of Citigroup break-up grow

Citigroup’s share price is likely to jump on Monday, partly because investors just wanted a change of leadership but also because some hope that it could lead to a break-up of the company.

Although Chuck Prince did some serious trimming, including the disposal of its insurance and asset management businesses, he was the most powerful advocate of keeping the bulk of the group together.
