Medical aid trickles through border

Medical aid trickled into Gaza on Tuesday through the Rafah crossing on the border with Egypt, while Palestinian ambulances brought out the injured who could not be treated in the territory’s overwhelmed hospitals.

The crossing, which has been closed for most of the past 18 months, much to the anger of most in the Arab world, has opened intermittently in recent days to let through medical supplies and the injured.
