McDonald’s chews on weak sales

McDonald’s, the world’s largest fast food chain, reported on Tuesday its weakest monthly global sales performance since the start of the US recession, while comparable sales at its US stores fell for the second month in a row.

The company’s global sales at restaurants open at least 13 months increased just 0.7 per cent.
