Chrysalis, one of the UK’s last big independent music groups, warned on Friday that disappointing sales on its latest releases would push it into the red in its full-year results.

The group had been hoping to emerge from a difficult period and return to former glories with a renewed focus on music after selling off its radio, television and book businesses.
