Tourists boost sales in London

The weak pound and wealthy foreign shoppers contributed to a bounce in retail sales in the capital last month, two new studies have shown.

The London Retail Sales Monitor, conducted by the British Retail Consortium and accountancy firm KPMG, showed like-for-like sales in central London were 7.5 per cent higher than the previous year, the best improvement in more than a year.
