CSL, the southern hemisphere’s only influenza vaccine maker and a leader in blood plasma products, said its swine flu vaccine would boost earnings as it reported a 63 per cent rise in net profits to A$1.15bn ($950m).
The Australian-listed group, which also expects “vigorous growth” from Privigen, its liquid intravenous immunoglobulin product, said net profits after tax in 2009-10 were expected to be in the range of A$1.16bn-A$1.26bn.
