Right accuses Donaldson of 'disrespect for rule of law' over SEC trading reform

William Donaldson's tenure as chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday ended in public acrimony and uncertainty about the future of one of his flagship reforms.

Mr Donaldson's fellow Republican commissioners, Paul Atkins and Cynthia Glassman, made ferocious attacks on his efforts to shore up an SEC rule dealing with trading abuses in the mutual fund industry.
