Bingo and more business-to-business partnerships helped 888, the online betting group, recover from a difficult end to last year for the gaming industry.

The Gibraltar based-company said fourth-quarter operating income had dropped 8 per cent to $60m (€47m, £41m), but January’s revenues were up 10 per cent from the previous month and the group also reported a 21 per cent increase in full-year operating income.
