Tulsi Tanti, the Indian industrialist, is planning to increase the production capacity of his wind-generator manufacturing group by more than half in less than a year in a move that will be partly funded by foreign institutions.

Suzlon Energy, in which the Tanti family holds a 69.8 per cent stake, will boost its integrated wind-generator production capacity from 2,700MW as of next month to 4,200MW by July next year, raising Rs10bn ($217m) locally and overseas to fund the expansion.
