TV wins race for White House

The race for the White House may still be in its early days, but one clear winner has already emerged: television.

Political candidates and interest groups are expected to spend a record $3bn on television advertisements in 2008, according to TNS Media Intelligence, far surpassing the $1.7bn spent four years ago and dwarfing other media.
