Dumping of dead fish is immoral, says Borg

European Union fisheries policies that encourage the throwing away of thousands of tonnes of dead fish are "morally wrong" and must be reformed, according to Joe Borg, the EU's fisheries commissioner.

Mr Borg told the Financial Times that he will next month take action to try to eliminate the wasteful throwing away of dead fish - known as discarding.
