Thai ruling parties face legal threat

Thailand’s constitutional court was expected to weigh in on the country’s political crisis on Tuesday, as thousands of tourists remain stranded at Bangkok’s main international airport.

Anti-government protesters, who have occupied Suvarnabhumi airport, the country’s main international gateway, for almost a week, allowed 37 empty aircraft to leave on Monday, freeing them to take part in an airlift to clear the backlog of some 100,000 stranded travellers.
