Thailand’s constitutional court was expected to weigh in on the country’s political crisis on Tuesday, as thousands of tourists remain stranded at Bangkok’s main international airport.
Anti-government protesters, who have occupied Suvarnabhumi airport, the country’s main international gateway, for almost a week, allowed 37 empty aircraft to leave on Monday, freeing them to take part in an airlift to clear the backlog of some 100,000 stranded travellers.
